Knock, knock. . . ummmmm. Knock, knock . . . no answer. Where can she be, her car's in the driveway curtain's cracked television's on, where is she? Is she out back and can't hear the doorbell, in the shower, on the phone and can't get off, where is she?
Knock, knock. Knock, knock. I'll have to wait until she gets here, after all, I came especially to see her. Oh well, that's okay, she'll answer the door soon. Guess I'll take a quick peek around a few spaces before I start work today.
Click, click...it's loading. Click, click,it's loading. This is my friend, 'Peachy-poo's' Live.com space...it's loading......loading......loading. Why is it so slow? Could it be the beautiful new psychedelic pink wallpaper background, the video, some of the widgets gadgets or new fangled-tekky tools?
That's weird, I'll just have to wait until it loads. After all, I did come here to visit my friend 'sweet cakes'. It will be finished in a minute...I guess. I'm on high-speed not dial-up, still it's loading.
Anyone else have this dilemma? Is it my isp folks, my signals getting mixed up in the stratosphere, what? 2:22 PM GMT | Read comments(4)October 13Birthday Story
Read the introduction to this post below . . .Why Blog?
I said I'd do this another day, but I got to thinking, do this now or tomorrow you'll be swatting mosquitos, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, or chasing critters trying to get in the house out of the cold, wind, rain, or something.
What I will do though, is put a muzzle on myself. Instead of going on and on like only I can do, I will try something new. I'll simply introduce my friends so others can visit them and get acquainted, without my usual onslaught of unnecessary words and crazy shenanigans.
Below is my friends' list with links to their sites (without descriptions because if I start that - it will be a month before I finish it).
Sarita; Patricia; Queen of the Castle; Cindy; Sherry; Teresa; Flo; Chocolate Matters; Caroldee; Desiree; Carol; Tysley; Fay; Duckie; Evelyn the Castle Lady; Rissa; I love my Bipolar; BethMarie.
There they are, my cyber friends. Please be sure to visit everyone, you're in for a real treat. Now, I've got to go rest my brain from all the hyper-linking and trying to remember who to link to what.
I do hope though that I haven't linked JoAnn to Flo's space. Haaaaa, only me! Have a happy Sunday everyone. 6:21 PM GMT | Read comments(5)Why Blog?
It's that way with blogging now, "everybody and his grandma" has a blog. Anything you can think of is blogged about, somewhere, by somebody - or "his grandma".
Why do I blog? I blog because I have made so many new friends in cyber-space I blog to say hello to them every day or so. I blog to visit their pages, sites, and spaces to see what new things they are doing learning or simply babbling about...babbling...that's me, I babble a lot sometimes. I blog because I enjoy their company, their comments and stories, and their warm friendships.
Today's post is dedicated to those friends. "Hi there, friends. How's your day going? Hope you had a good week, also hope the rest of this weekend is nice for you."
For anyone new to "DellGirl's Live Space, if you're dropping in for the first time, I want you to meet some of the warmest, friendliest, most beautiful cyber-space friends a person could ask for.
JoAnn is a warm caring cyber friend whose blog is filled beautiful photos, interesting and amusing stories, and more. She always has something encouraging and positive to say. JoAnn is the friend you wish you had growing up. She blogs about her grandchildren, her children, gardening, quilting, and much more (all in a wonderful and engaging style). Visit JoAnn you'll be glad you did.
Another cyber-friend is Shirley K. who blogs about her journey to 'Living a Purposeful Life'. She blogs about her family, her daily adventures (or mis-adventures, like the flying mailbox) and many other fun and inspiring things. Visit Shirley K to see an example of blogging at its finest for yourself.
And, for the most hilarious RamblingsOn I have ever heard in my life, you should meet my friend by the same name - Rambling On. She winds and twists a story down a bright bumpy road you never expect to travel, laughing all the way. She is a story teller excellenté (I made that up...so don't try to find it in the dictionary). When she tells a story, it is told. Instead of trying to explain her style, visit Rambling On. You'll see I'm not lying.
End Day one. I will introduce my other friends also, in groups, another day. You will get to meet each and every one of them. Now, I'll stop here so you will have time to visit and get to know some wonderful warm and beautiful cyber-pals.
